Bihar State Fisheries Cooperative Federation (COFFED) along with Jeevika Group has requested for cooperation to make the state self-reliant in fish production and business. Today the fish production sector has a share of 8 percent in Bihar GSDP. COFED Managing Director Rishikesh Kashyap said these things in a seminar organized by Jeevika. He said that Jeevika Didis are making remarkable contributions in every social field. In such a situation, Jeevika Didis should also come to the fisheries sector with COFED. If we get their support, the fishing business will flourish. He said that fish business can be started at low expense. There are many employment opportunities in this. More than 2.80 crore people are employed in the fisheries sector across the country. Fisheries sector in Bihar has the potential to provide employment to more than 20 lakh people, we just need to tap
 needed. He also said that for the first time, COFED has set up a stall of various types of fish dishes in the Saras Mela running from 15 to 29 December, Where people are coming and getting different delecius fiish items first time, People can also book their fish items right from our book link and get the snap shot of token and use them while going to our shop for their opted food.
